Thanksgiving Content Ideas For Small Businesses And Brands

Thanksgiving is right around the corner with just 4 weeks to go!

Obviously the easiest form of content for Thanksgiving is to schedule a post for Thanksgiving Day and wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

But what can you do throughout the month of November, and is there a way to use this time to further connect with your network in a positive way, while keeping your content calendar filled?

Here is a list of some ideas for November content creation leading up to Thanksgiving:

  1. Have your staff list who or what they’re thankful for.
Make 1 post per day leading up to Thanksgiving, or one post per week or whatever the math is on the volume of posts you could make. You can also do a carousel of all of their answers in one post.

  2. Acknowledge clients you’re thankful for.
Maybe people who have been with you for years or been a part of your network in a meaningful way.

  3. Do extra shout-outs and “Thank Yous” to sponsors and supporters from throughout the year.
This can be individual posts or a carousel or slideshow of several images in one post.

  4. Connect to your community.
Make posts about local businesses or brands in your town who you’re thankful for, collaborating with them on the posts.

  5. Thank people who have had a meaningful impact on your life.
This could be something as simple as posting a photo with them or sharing a video or a meaningful image of something they’ve done or shared with you that has positively impacted you.

  6. Acknowledge positive memories you have from the year that you’re thankful for.

This could be business related or more personal such as a trip you took, people you met, maybe a new pet?

  7. Share how other businesses or brands or people have positively influenced you.

Maybe it is something that helped you grow, or taught you a positive lesson, or enabled you to reach a goal.

  8. Shine a light on people who have inspired you, even if you don’t know them personally.
Is there a celebrity or even a fictional character that helps keep you going or inspires you? Shout them out!

  9. Ask your network what they’re thankful for.

It could be as simple as making a general post, or connecting further by asking people to tag their favorite small business.

  10. Highlight your team and share how you’re thankful for them.

Even if you just have freelancers you work with, or vendors you hire, or peers you collaborate with, let them know what they mean!

And if you want to do them all, you can use this list to fill your entire month! And now November is sorted!

Don’t forget to schedule post your “Happy Thanksgiving” post for Thanksgiving Day so you can enjoy the day with one less thing to worry about!

Happy content creating! And also happy reflecting on people and things you’re thankful for!
