Quick Ways To Make "Faceless" Videos For Easy Content Creation

Not every business or brand is built around a person, so the content around that brand can be “faceless” or showcase things without showing anyone’s face in the videos or photos used to promote that account.

For example, an ice cream shop, or a jewelry designer, or a baker usually sells items that people are interested in without always being tied to the person who is making them.

Some industries such as consulting, or coaching, or things where you really are hiring the person who does the service as much as you’re buying the service - those types of industries can mix faceless videos into their content. But it is not recommended to only do faceless content if you’re a realtor, lawyer, doctor, massage therapist, coach, consultant, or some other sort of role with a direct relationship with clients.

In general, faceless videos can be a quick way to share what you’re working on or what you do, without having to put yourself on camera!

Here are some easy ways to create “faceless” content:

  • Use stock footage of on-brand content and pair it with music and an inspirational quote or quick tip.  For example, if you’re a realtor you can use footage of a new home, or if you’re a lawyer you could use footage of the scales of justice or if you work in finance you could use a video of money falling.  Then put a piece of information that could be helpful to know, or an inspiring quote, or something simple to read and absorb quickly. For all the reasons outlined in the last blog, you would not use Gen AI for this. But there are tons of actual stock footage sites such as Envato and Canva (just be sure not to select their AI options). You can also just film clips from around your office or work space or environment.

  • Use meme content (which is basically trending audio or video clips) and add captions which are relevant to your industry.  This could be generic.  For example there is a very popular clip of a young girl in a ballroom dancing competition who starts off really nervous and then a few seconds in focuses and starts dancing her heart out.  You could add text like “That feeling when you remember you’re working with [your business or brand.”  Things like that.

  • Showcase your space, your work process, your products. This is great for people who have physical offices, and physical products.  If you make candy you can show it being made.  If you’re a hair stylist you can just show the hair being styled (though having some videos of yourself mixed in for that type of account is a good idea).  If you’re a clothing designer you can show your designs.  Show what you make or sell, how you make it, where you get the pieces or ingredients from, what the process is like, all of that visual without needing to show yourself!

  • Show client testimonies.  This can be videos like clips of clients saying their review or it can be text on screen over a video of the product or something like that to share happy customers!

The main point is to not get overwhelmed or feel like if you’re not front and center on your account, you can’t make content.

There are lots of great ways to connect with your audience and showcase what you do without putting yourself into the video.

Happy recording!
