Quick Content Ideas When You’re Short On Time

Content creation doesn’t have to take a super long time.

There are a few simple checkboxes you can use to figure out where to start with putting some posts together for Social Media or even for email updates or other marketing and promotional items.

You can take any one question or sub-question off this list and turn the answer into a visual graphic, video reel, or simple text-based post.

For multiple answers or longer more complex pieces of information, you can create multiple posts.  And you can be creative about how you go about answering the question and sharing the information.

Sometimes sitting and talking to the camera works, sometimes showing people directly works, sometimes clever ways to share the information without feeling like an infomercial works.

  • Who Are You And What Do You Do?

You’d be amazed at the number of clients we’ve worked with who assumed everyone knew all about who they were and what they did until we started working with them and it turned out people in fact did not.

What is your business and who works there?  What do the people who work there do?  How established are you and how able are you to handle service requests or product demands?  What makes you qualified to deliver that service or make that product?

What services or products do you offer?  What services or products do you not offer?  Do you have packages? Special rates?  Special Offers?  These don’t have to be “salesy” but they should share who you are and what you do.

  • What Should People Know Before They Come To You?

IF ONLY PEOPLE KNEW….!

Fill in the blank.  What do you wish people knew before they walked up to you?  What makes you quietly groan inside when people ask about it or don’t understand how everything works?

Sometimes it can be highly complex.  If you work in a technical or specialized industry, there can be a lot people don’t know about it.  At the same time, if you work in even a common industry sometimes there are things people don’t know.

What would make their working with you or buying from you super smooth?

  • Fun Facts, Fast Facts, Tips And Tricks

Remember, Social Media is supposed to be SOCIAL.  That means it isn’t just “Buy buy buy!   Follow me!  Like and subscribe!” all the time.

How many times do you scroll to the next post as soon as a call to action plays?

Don’t be the person who makes people jump on the “skip” button.

Share things that are fun, funny, useful, interesting.  It could be a quick fact about your industry or your products or you services.  Or maybe a fun tip.  Or a shortcut or insight into how someone can do better in your field.

And just one of those questions can have 50 answers.  The point is to create content that shares who you are, what you do, and how people can access your products or services in a way that is natural, human, and not just pitching them to buy all day long.

Need more specific ideas?  Reach out to us for a Social Media Consultation where the last step is a full PDF of a breakdown of direction to DIY your Social Media, with long lists of exactly what type of content you should make.

For now, grab a question off that list, and make a post answering it!  Congratulations, you have some content and you’re on your way!  That’s really what is most important at the end of the day.

*Note: It is not advised to use AI to generate images or create text to answer these questions, even to “give you ideas.” This is for a long list of reasons ranging from the ethical and environmental reasons down to the simply human reasons.  This is your story.  If you or no one at your business can articulate an answer to these questions themselves, that might be an undercut of a place to start.

You don’t have to make the next viral video, you just need to get posting.  So, start there!  You got this!
