It is our honor to present the winner of our 2025 Screenplay Competition: To Be Seen Or Not To Be Seen by Kathy Nguyen Li!

After falling and injuring herself, a young girl struggles to find both physical and emotional care of her wound.

Kathy’s story struck a chord with us not only because of her adept writing and how perfectly she captured a slice of life through the eyes of a young girl, but her work was strongly presented and ready to go into production with little further development.

Her script is slated for produciton in mid to late 2026 and will be heading into film festivals in 2027!

We started this competition to create space for new writers and to give them the opportunity to get their work produced. The winning script becomes a short film submitted to further festivals with on-screen and IMDb credit going to the winning writer!
